Phrasal Verbs in Britain
The lesson is about 45 minutes in length. It begins with a reading passage based on an interesting topic that has a connection with Britain, British people or culture. The reading presents 12 phrasal verbs used in an authentic context.
The students then complete a gap fill exercise and find synonyms to check their understanding of the phrasal verbs.
There are interesting photos for picture speculation and plenty of opportunities to generate further discussion.
Further written work can be completed based on the phrasal verbs given.
The original product is accompanied by MP3 audio.
