“Ask the right question” - speaking game
Shared by Michael
This simple activitity will allow your students to practice asking questions in a fun way. I’ve included a blank worksheet for you to write your own words by hand. You can vary the difficulty of this game by changing the words. You don’t even have to restrict yourself to words. Go for phrases and collocations if your students are really advanced! Hope it will be useful. Cheers!
Procedure
- Below are ten words. Ask your partner questions so that s/he will answer them with these words. Mark words your friend guesses correctly. You only have five minutes for all ten questions so if you’re having trouble go on to another question. Don’t show the worksheet to your friend. You can’t include any of the words in your questions. Don’t write anything down at this point.
- Now work individually and write down the questions you’ve just asked your friend. Make sure the questions are grammatically correct.
